The tower has been recently re-opened after a long restoration, and you are now permitted to scale to the top of the tower and admire the fantastic view. The climb to the top is an experience in itself, as you can feel the “lean” in the structure while you wind your way to the peak.
Then drive through the tuscan countryside for about 1 hour and start exploring the city of Florence, visiting the Piazzale Michelangelo first to see the spectacular view and beautiful Michelangelo statues over the course of the following hours your group will see Accademia’s Gallery with some of the most famous pieces of art in the world. You will also get to see both the Baptistery and the Duomo to first-hand witness the beauty and strength of ancient architecture. And to get a real feel for Italy’s history we will wander Piazza della Signoria and the church of Santa Croce to see the tombs of artists and philosophers alike. Please keep in mind that the museums are closed on Mondays therefore we will have extra time for shopping and will be able to stop by the famous leather market.
Head back to the pier at the end of the day.The itinerary may vary according to local traffic conditions
